Welcome to Heritage Christian

Heritage Christian School is an independent Christian school located in the heart of Bridgeport, WV. We serve families in a five county region and our students and staff represent more than fifty different congregations. HCS is accredited with both the Association of Christian School International (ACSI) and it's secular counterpart Cognia. We believe that God has called Heritage Christian School into existence to come along side Christian parents to partner with them in the education of their preschool to high school children. Our aim is to teach every subject with a Biblical world view and to provide opportunities for students to grow relationally, spiritually and scholastically. We're growing leaders who will serve their communities out of love for God and others!

Heritage Christian School is proud to announce that our school is accredited by the Association of Christian School International (ACSI). This accomplishment demonstrates our commitment to excellence. Accreditation means that high school credits are transferable, improves our student standing for college entrance, ensures that our school is fulfilling its mission and meeting academic standards established by the international school community. ACSI also assesses our ability to impart a biblical worldview, build godly character, and encourage spiritual formation. Accreditation is an on-going process that assures instruction at Heritage Christian School will improve through a continuous process of self-assessment designed to result in increased student achievement.

We provide a nourishing environment that emulates family values. Students attend weekly chapel services and participate in sports (volleyball, basketball, and track) and minister at the local mission, nursing homes, VA Hospital, and the Shoe Box Distribution Center, among others. Our annual Spirit of Giving Week, a fun school spirit week, has the added bonus of supporting local ministries! Non-perishable food items, diapers and wipes, dog food, stuffed animals, socks and more, all given in love, supported the UHC Children's Pediatrics, the Harrison County Humane Society, a local Pregnancy Resource Center, Shepherd's Corner and the local mission. Little Lambs Closet is now a ministry of HCS!
